First up, I'm in love with this fancy Christmas chandelier shared by Old Things New.  I've used the idea of hanging ornaments from my chandelier...but I love the addition of the ribbons.  So pretty!

Make It: Birch Gold Metallic Monogram

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape provided by ShurTech Brands, LLC for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve been wanting to create a project using a birch round and gold metallic paint for quite a while now.  But since the rounds are cut right from the tree, the surface isn’t exactly smooth which worried me just a bit.

But then I was lucky enough to receive a challenge  from FrogTape® to use their new textured surface kit to create a project.  What a great idea!  Painting textured surfaces has always  been tricky…but with the FrogTape Textured Surface kit, I hoped it would be easier.  I figured this was the exactly the project to try it out on.

So I went and got the supplies I needed.

What I really wanted to do was create a monogram…but I didn’t want it to simply be the letter “H”.  I wanted to add a little interest. So I decided to create a negative space monogram.

I started out by taping off a square.

Then I created a monogram out of the tape.  (Luckily “H” is a pretty easy letter to create.)

Then I simply followed the instructions of the Textured Surface kit.

I went over the edges with the enclosed sealant.  The purpose of the sealant is to create a barrier so that paint can’t leak under the tape.

Then I used several coats of the gold paint.

Once the paint was dry to the touch, I removed the tape.

I have to say, I was honestly impressed.  There was no leakage at all.  The lines were incredibly sharp.  I was more than impressed.  I was amazed.

I absolutely love how the monogram turned out!  And once I added some metallic gold ribbon to hang it from, I was head over heels.  I’m thinking I have a great gift idea on  my hands, know what I mean?

What I Wore~

This post is sponsored by Catch Bliss.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Today I just wanted to share a little bit of fashion inspiration with you all.

I realize that most people post a "What I Wore Wednesday" but with all the Christmas prep, I'm running a bit late this week, so this is "What I Wore Thursday".

One of my favorite things about the cold weather is getting to layer.  And more specifically getting to wear cozy sweaters.

In this outfit, I wore this great asymmetrical, Aztec print sweater from Catch Bliss boutique.  I love the gray and brown color scheme and the asymmetrical hem gives it an unexpected and fun edge.

I paired the sweater with a dark navy skinny jeans by Vera Wang and tall riding boots from Target.  To finish the look I added gold jewelry - including an adorable deer head necklace also from Target.

Catch Bliss is a new-to-me online boutique. They have some really fun clothes at reasonable prices and right now, you can 30% off anything in the store by using the code CB30.  I love me a great deal at Christmas time!

Oh!  And if you don't follow me on Instagram, you didn't get the first sneak peek at my RED HAIR!  That's right, folks!  After years of being a blonde...I've gone red!  I'm loving it so far!  But every time I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, It still startles me for a  minute.  Lol!  So make sure to follow me on Instagram for all the fun behind-the-scenes moments!!

I received my sweater free of charge in exchange for a review.  However, the opinions expressed are 100%  mine.

Pretty Hand-Stamped Christmas Ornaments~

This post is sponsored by Lisa Leonard Designs.

I'm sure you've all heard of my friend Lisa Leonard. If not, you're going to thank me.  Lisa is the talent behind Lisa Leonard designs and I have been in love with her jewelry for years.

Well, this year, Lisa sent me some adorable new ornaments for each of my kiddos.  Stamped with their names, of course!  (I blurred the stamped names out  - they look amazing in reality).

I adore them!  They are so sweet...and each is also stamped with the year on the back of the holly leaves, which makes them a perfect keepsake.

These "My Holly" ornaments are new this year.  And they're not the only beautiful ornaments Lisa created for this year's collection.  They make great gifts...for someone special...or even for yourself.  I'm just sayin'.

If you use the code HOLLYJOLLY, you can get 15% off of your purchase of anything in her shop until December 5.  So hurry over!

I received these ornaments free of charge for review.  The opinions expressed are 100% mine.
